The sun setting over the Himalayas, golden light across ancient terrain

India, as it was always
meant to be
felt

Come back to the country you’ve heard about, and experience the one that’s actually there.

“We don’t sell packages. We return you to a place you’ve never left.”

For those who feel a pull toward India, whether it’s a memory passed down, a family story half-told, or simply a country they’ve always wanted to know properly. We design trips for people who want to go deeper, not the tourist version. The real thing, with someone who knows the difference.

Eight trips. Eight Indias. Every one, a way in.

Trips

Find your way into India.

Eight journeys. Many ways in. Start with a story, a place, a feeling or simply a question.

Start here

Journeys designed as welcoming first steps into India, each with its own rhythm, character and reason to go.

Go deeper

Journeys for travellers drawn to a particular landscape, history, idea or side of India.

Why us

01

The trip is yours, not ours

Every itinerary here is a starting point. Swap modules, extend stays, cut sections. We build around you, not the other way around.

02

Honesty over romance

India is not always beautiful. It’s loud, overwhelming, and confrontational. We tell you what each place actually feels like, not the brochure version.

03

Personal, not generic

If your family is from Punjab, going to Amritsar isn’t tourism, and neither is a first trip built around what you actually want to see. We know the difference, and we design accordingly.

Travel with confidence

The practical part, made plain.

01

Paid in the UK, in pounds

We’re a small UK-based team. When you book, you pay us directly in pounds, so there’s no overseas transfer to arrange and no separate agent to chase.

02

Priced land-only, up front

Every trip is priced transparently on its own page, land package only, so you know the cost before you book your international flights.

03

On the ground: Travel Pals India

Once you land, your hotels, transfers and guided experiences are delivered on our behalf by Travel Pals India, a family-owned New Delhi operator working since 1994. Rooetd stays your point of contact throughout.

04

Shape it with us, before and after you book

Swap a city, shift your dates or change the service tier while we plan it together: nothing is fixed until you choose to book. After that, we’ll still help with changes, and tell you what’s possible and any cost before you agree.

05

A person replies, within one to two days

Every enquiry reaches a member of the team directly, with a personal reply within one to two days, by whichever contact method you prefer. Questions are always welcome.

06

Every enquiry becomes a dossier

We don’t just email back a price. Within one to two days, we send a first proposal: suggested dates, your chosen module swaps and an indicative land price. Hotels, dates and the final price are confirmed with our ground partner before you book.

The map

Eight trips shown. Every region on the table.

These eight are our reference itineraries, giving you a sense of pace and price for each region. If the place that’s calling you isn’t one of these, tell us where and we will build a trip around it the same way.

Explore India

The journal

Field notes, honestly written.

Packing lists, visa specifics, and write ups from the routes above, plus the regions we have not built a set itinerary for yet.

How it works

You fly on your terms. We take care of India.

01

Browse or take the finder

Read the trip pages and pricing directly, or take the five question finder. Every module swap is listed, nothing is hidden.

02

We build it around you

The team plans your dates, any module swaps, your hotels and travel within India. You book your own international flights to India; Rooetd doesn’t sell or arrange them.

03

You land, and the plan is ready

Hotels, transfers, trains, guided experiences and restaurant bookings, coordinated before you leave home. Any flights within India are set out in your quotation. Free days are built in.

A narrow alley in Old Delhi at golden hour

Begin your journey.

Tell us the trip, roughly when, how many of you, and anything you have already decided, solo, as a couple, or across the whole family. A real person replies within one to two days with suggested dates and indicative pricing. Nothing is fixed until you choose to book, and questions are always welcome.
