Terms & Conditions

This page is a draft. It sets out our current understanding of the terms that should govern a booking, but it has not yet been reviewed by a solicitor qualified in UK consumer and travel law. Nothing here is a final contract term until it's confirmed in writing when you book. It will be replaced with reviewed copy before this becomes the live version of the site.

What you're booking

Every Rooetd trip is land-only: accommodation, internal transport, guided experiences and, where listed, meals, bundled into a single price. We don't sell UK–India flights — you book those yourself, separately. A bundle like this is very likely a "package" under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018, which gives you specific rights around pre-contract information, liability and cancellation. See how booking protection worksfor the part of that we haven't finished putting in place yet — read it before you send a deposit.

Pricing and payment

Prices shown on trip pages are per person and, unless marked otherwise, indicative until we confirm exact dates and availability with our destination partner. Two of our six routes are explicitly flagged as estimated on their trip pages and are reconfirmed before any deposit is taken. Our exact deposit amount, balance due date, and accepted payment method(s) will be set out here once our payment process (via a UK payment provider) is live — at the time of writing, this hasn't been finalised, so no deposit or payment should be taken from you against this page.

Changes, cancellations and refunds

We intend to offer a clear cancellation and refund schedule (for example, a sliding scale based on how close to departure you cancel), and to tell you promptly if we need to change or cancel a confirmed booking on our end. The specific timelines and refund amounts will be published here once confirmed with our destination partner and reviewed by an adviser — we're not going to publish numbers we haven't actually agreed to honour.

Who's responsible for what

We design and coordinate your itinerary and work with a destination partner on the ground in India who delivers the hotels, internal transport, guides and experiences on our behalf. We'll set out here how liability is split between us and that partner for things that go wrong during the trip, once that's confirmed. You're responsible for your own UK–India flights, travel insurance, passport, visa/eVisa/OCI documentation, and vaccinations — we can point you to resources, but none of that is advice you should rely on in place of checking with the relevant official source.

Force majeure

Neither of us is liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events outside reasonable control — things like extreme weather, natural disaster, war, civil unrest, strikes, or government travel restrictions. Where this affects your trip, we'll work with you on rescheduling or a partial refund in line with what we've actually paid out or committed to our destination partner.

Complaints and dispute resolution

If something goes wrong, tell us directly first at hello@rooetd.com — we'd rather sort it out than have it go further. We don't currently use a certified Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme for unresolved complaints; UK regulations require us to say so either way, and we'll update this section if we join one (for example, a travel-industry ABTA/ABTOT-style scheme). Nothing here affects your right to bring a claim through the UK courts.
